Ehime Gift Envelopes Kyuryu

Onishi Mizuhiki

Breathe new personality into respectable customs from long ago

Recently mass market national design gift envelops are readily available for purchase anywhere, however gift envelops are actually traditional products with strong connections to local customs of a particular area. Through a desire to return to those ideals and convey local character "Ehime tsutsumi" was made using handmade Japanese Kuniyasu paper from Touyo. They are adorned with Iyokasuri kimono patterns and pearl inside a mandarin orange shape from the Nanyo area. In addition "KyuuRyuu" is a masterpiece made from traditional Japanese paper thread into which the artist has poured his heart and soul.
